Writing a CV That Works for Greek Employers

Hiring managers in Corfu often receive dozens of CVs for a single seasonal role. A few small changes make yours easier to shortlist.

  1. Keep it to one page. List your most recent three or four jobs with dates and locations.
  2. Put languages near the top. Note your level honestly: native, fluent, conversational.
  3. Add a photo. It’s still common practice in Greek hospitality.
  4. Include your availability. “Available April to October 2027” saves the employer a phone call.
  5. Mention certificates. Health certificate, driving licence, skipper licence, first aid.

Finally, send it as a PDF named with your full name, not “cv_final_2.pdf”.
