Tips for job seekers and employers in Corfu.

  • How to Land a Summer Job in Corfu: A Season-by-Season Guide

If you’re planning to work the 2027 season in Corfu, the best time to start looking is now. Most hotels and restaurants finalise their teams between November and March, long before the first charter flights land.

    October–December: management and skilled roles

Resorts recruit front office managers, head chefs and maintenance leads first. If you have supervisory experience, apply early: these roles rarely reach spring.

    January–March: the main hiring wave

Receptionists, waiters, bartenders, room attendants and excursion crew are hired in bulk. Have your CV ready in English and Greek, and mention which months you’re available.

    April–June: last-minute gaps

Some positions open late when staff don’t return. Flexibility on location helps: the north-west and south of the island often struggle to fill roles.

    What employers ask about most

    • Languages: English is a given; German, Italian and French stand out
    • Availability for the full season, not just July and August
    • Whether you need accommodation
    • A valid health certificate for food and hotel roles
  • Writing a CV That Works for Greek Employers

Hiring managers in Corfu often receive dozens of CVs for a single seasonal role. A few small changes make yours easier to shortlist.

    1. Keep it to one page. List your most recent three or four jobs with dates and locations.
    2. Put languages near the top. Note your level honestly: native, fluent, conversational.
    3. Add a photo. It’s still common practice in Greek hospitality.
    4. Include your availability. “Available April to October 2027” saves the employer a phone call.
    5. Mention certificates. Health certificate, driving licence, skipper licence, first aid.

Finally, send it as a PDF named with your full name, not “cv_final_2.pdf”.

  • Year-Round Careers on the Island: Beyond Tourism

Tourism drives Corfu’s economy, but it isn’t the only path. A growing share of listings on Corfu Job Market are year-round positions.

    Sectors hiring all year

    • Healthcare: clinics, pharmacies and care services need staff in every month.
    • Trades: winter is renovation season, so electricians, plumbers and builders are in demand.
    • Accounting and admin: the businesses that run on tourism still need their books kept year-round.
    • Tech and digital: remote work lets island-based developers and marketers serve clients anywhere.
